Welcome to FootGolf, a fun and fast-growing blend of golf and soccer that’s taking the golfing world by storm. Although the concept has been around for decades, it wasn’t until the 1980s that Dutch enthusiasts formalized the rules and courses. Today, FootGolf is a recognized tournament sport played in over 20 countries, with 85 courses across 29 U.S. states certified by the American FootGolf League.
Played with a regulation #5 soccer ball, FootGolf follows many of golf’s familiar rules: start each hole from the tee, navigate around bunkers, trees, water hazards, and hills, all while abiding by the host course’s dress code and etiquette.
At Whiteford Valley, FootGolf is played on the Yellow Course with 21-inch holes strategically placed near rough or hazards to ensure smooth play alongside traditional golfers. An 18-hole round of FootGolf typically takes about the same time as 9 holes of regular golf, making it perfect for players of all ages and skill levels.
